Art Film
Cry Me a Waterfall
(2021) by the Kurdish-British artist Jala Wahid. This short film, shown at the
Two Queens
Gallery in Leicester UK, acts as a complicated love song to the Bekhal waterfall, located in Southern Kurdistan. For this work, directed by Jala Wahid, SoftSpell created a series of digital animations. Which explored the identity of the Bekhal waterfall, in the form of its liquid and the light which touched it. As well as the flora that surrounds the base of the waterfall.
